In a constantly changing professional world, the way in which companies value and reward their employees has become a central topic. Recognizing this dynamic, ANDRH has initiated a workshop for explore new ways to share value, outside of traditional pay increases. With renowned speakers such as Fanny Marchiset, Bernard Borrely, Bernard Borrely, Benoît Serre and Matthieu Bax, this workshop highlighted innovative perspectives.
The context: rising inflation and wages under pressure
The current inflation is putting businesses in a dilemma: How can they continue to reward and retain their employees without necessarily increasing salaries? This question is all the more relevant since, according to the agreement signed by the social partners on 10 February 2023 and the bill adopted at the end of June 2023 at the National Assembly, value sharing must be considered as a positive alternative to respond to this emergency.
And even if the bill now includes a multitude of devices allowing the company's profits to be redistributed to its employees (profit-sharing, participation, free shares, employee savings), It may lead one to believe that it only concerns SMEs or companies with large financial resources.
Innovative ideas for modern value sharing
The aim of this workshop? Encourage accessibility to value sharing mechanisms at all levels of the organization.
To do this, the speakers focused on 3 areas of reflection:
Existing initiatives: What good practices are already in place in our companies in terms of value sharing? How can they inspire other organizations?
New solutions: In what areas can we imagine innovative solutions that boost the morale of our employees and strengthen their long-term loyalty?
Relevance for employees: How can we ensure that these new forms of value sharing are perceived as beneficial by employees? How can you make them aware of these benefits, which can sometimes be more relevant to their well-being and development than simple salary increases?
The workshop highlighted concrete and innovative initiatives to rethink the sharing of value:
Diverse advantages: from gym memberships to the financing of employee garden centers, including free time linked to company results or the provision of company services and products.
Tailor-made support: support the professional projects of employees, offer preferential rates for loans or even offer a bonus for energy renovation.
The 6 key ideas to remember
Allow employees to choose how they want value to be redistributed. Interest, participation... The starting point is with a global envelope. The terms and conditions are co-defined with the company.
Strengthen the commitment and motivation of employees in the company by offering free actions to employees upon hiring.
Use part of the profits to support the entrepreneurial projects of employees. “Part of the profits makes it possible to support projects for employees who wish to undertake. Create added value and the opportunity for everyone to experience the entrepreneurial adventure in partnership with the company”
Set up, on a fixed frequency, support in terms of health, care and well-being of employees: annual check-ups, prepaid sessions, etc.
An “advantage” credit budgeted according to N-1 benefits, which is adapted according to the “highlights” of the employee's life: parenting, studies, health needs, etc. Or create a fund to offer loans at very low rates to employees.
Increase by 10% all state measures on actions beneficial to the environment: changing the boiler, buying a low-energy vehicle, energy renovation, etc.
In conclusion
Sharing value is much more than just a question of pay. It is a global approach that takes into account the needs and expectations of employees at all levels of the organization.
With these new ideas, businesses have everything they need to create a stronger link between their performance and the rewards of their employees. And you, where are you in this process?
